Outlook 2016 is not updating automatically

Is there a way to configure this, either in the file downloaded or in Outlook preferences?I know the file can specify a minimum refresh interval (via the Outlook relies on the custom property X-PUBLISHED-TTL to set the download frequency but unless set in the file you subscribe to, there is no way to force within outlook an update frequency (nor in google calendar).Retention Policies and Retention Tags are the server-based equivalent for expiring and archiving messages.Retention Policies are a collection of Retention Tags which you can apply to folders or individual messages.I have a group of laptops, which I just imaged, and I am in the process of setting up office for the users, however I noticed that outlook 2016 is not updating automatically, so the following are the steps that I tried, but it is still stuck on updating folder and doesn't go away.- 1.So first I tried disabling cached mode, it worked initially but after the initial update, I tried to send an email to the address, and it never appeared. Deleted the profile, and recreated it, which looked liked it worked, but any new emails after that point do not appear, however outlook continues to download old emails.- 3. Did a total removal/re-install and that still didn't work.

For instance; I’m reading a message now which holds relevant information for this week. I know that if I somehow do not mark this message, it will stay in my mailbox a whole lot longer and I’ll need to reread the message in order to decide whether to keep it or not.

When you are using an Exchange 2010, Exchange 2013 or Exchange Online account, then it is better to use Retention Policies instead.

When you receive a message you want to have deleted automatically at a certain date, you can set this expiration date in the following way: When you are sending time-sensitive emails, then you can also help the recipient by already settings this option when sending the message in the same way.(Click on the image to see the Message Options dialog in full.)The next time Auto Archive runs after the Expiration Date, it will automatically delete the item.

Look for Block Global Address List synchronization.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\office\outlook\socialconnector DWORD: disablecontactgalsync Value: 1 (no sync) Administrators can disable this feature using a group policy.
